Defined Benefit Pension Funds

Larger companies have traditionally sponsored defined benefit pension funds. In recent years, however, there has been a worldwide transition toward favoring defined contribution plans. This has resulted in a number of frozen or "orphan" plans, both in the United States and in Europe. Woyke and Company, together with Towers Perrin, have pioneered projects for companies burdened with such plans in arranging innovative programs to transfer and secure the risks inherent in sponsoring such plans.
